I want to use your art. Can I just help myself?

People need to e-mail to enquire if they can use a specific picture for any public or commerical purpose.

Under copyright law, DO NOT redistribute or alter any images on this site without express written permission from the artist. I can not stress this enough. What's all this about copyright law, you ask? Check the Legal Page here for more details.

When e-mailing, please give the title of the picture(s) you are referring to, and for the purpose you wish to use them. Clearly title the e-mail with 'express permission' or 'art usage' so I can identify it as non-spam.

Hey! Can I use one of your pictures to role-play with?

Strictly no. Some of the characters here are not mine, done as paid commissions or gift art for others - Do not steal art which does not belong to you. If you want an illustration done of your character, you can always commission one of your own.

Do you allow your art to be used for tubing / sig-tags/ AV's/ Website stationary?

Tubing – No, since this might encourage wide-spread reproduction and distribution of my art without due copyright credit, as well as unacceptable distortion of the images.

Sig-tags/ AV’s/ e-mail stationary / website stationary – Normally yes, but you must still ask my permission first, and you will be expected to adhere to the following terms:

* That you embed my copyright and link back to my website that reads as follows:

* The images are not to be used for, or in conjunction with, any role-play or character profiles under any circumstances.

* Images are not to be used for commercial gain.

* The images are not distorted/warped in any way that changes it from its original appearance or context. Though proportionally resizing it or cropping sections to fit is fine. Strictly no tubing.

* Images are not to be displayed on, or used in conjunction with any pornographic site/material. All art is to be kept strictly G-PG13.

If you’re a member of a non-profit group that produces sig-tags/ AVs / forum stationary / website stationary please do contact me and let me know you would like to use my art – Permission is most usually granted and I’m always interested in seeing any creations.

If you need to use my art for any profitable means you should contact me to discuss.

Do you allow commercial use of your art?

This depends entirely on the circumstances. Please contact me with a brief explanation of what purpose you intend to use the image(s) for and I will respond shortly.

Can I take a picture from your gallery and put it in mine?

No, not without my express written permission. You must contact neongryphon@hotmail.co.uk first and ask to use any of the art found here if you intend to 1) post it publically or 2) use it for any commerical gain.

If you want to post my art on your website, you need to supply me with the website URL, explain what you want to use it for, and be prepared to adhere to the following terms:

* My copyright must be visible on the image. Removing it is forbidden.

* '© Rachel C. Beaconsfield' and a link to www.NeonGrphon.com should accompany the image.

* The art is not to be altered from its original form bar resizing.

* Images are not to be displayed on, or used in conjunction with any pornographic site/material. All art is to be kept strictly G-PG13.

* The images are not to be used for, or in conjunction with, any role-play or character profiles under any circumstances.

* Images are not to be used for commercial gain.

* Artwork featured in the Commissions Gallery and Gift Art Gallery, is strictly NOT to be used under any circumstances. No exceptions.

* Don’t direct link to the images. Stealing band-width is a crime.

Can I save a picture to my hard drive and set it as my desktop wallpaper?

Yes. Personal use is ok. People need not ask my permission to view these images in the privacy or their own home.

Can I print off a picture and stick it on my wall?

While I can’t stop people printing out the images posted here for their own private viewing, I do encourage people to support the artist by purchasing a print. Images posted on-line are 'web-ready' and are of a far lower resolution and size than the originals. Thus images printed directly off this website will not print well.

Please support the artist and purchase quality authentic prints instead. These prints are highly detailed, produced from high resolution scans/ uncompressed files of originals - meaning they look several times more vibrant, detailed and exciting than what you’re viewing on your screen.

Can I e-mail you about something?

Certainly, and defiantly e-mail me about the following things:

· Using my images for anything more than for your private, pesonal enjoyment - see the Legal Page
· Commissions
· Prints
· Originals
· Questions about any of my art, in any of my galleries.

Make sure you clearly label your e-mails with something relevent to this websute such as: 'commissions enquiry,' 'art usage,' or 'art purchase,' so that I can indentify your e-mail as non-spam. Badly labelled e-mails such as 'hey!' or 'I have a question' may find itself unopened in my junk mail folder.

I attempt to reply to all emails ASAP. Usually within 24 hours.

Can I link to your homepage / do a banner exchange?

The links page on thise site is updated twice monthly.

If I sent you a picture would you give me feedback on it?

Yes, people can send me pictures if they would like some feedback or help, but please keep files to 200kb max, and clearly make the e-mail 'Art Help.' If you don't, I'll assume your e-mail is spam and it'll remain unopened in my junkmail folder.

I can't give extensive private tutorials though. There's simply not enough hours in a day. But, there are a few very good online tutorial links in the Links section.

When are you next going to update? I'm sick of refreshing this gallery.

Art updates normally happen once a month depending on my workload.

LiveJournal users can find me at NeonGryphonLiveJournal and catch the latest WIPs, art news, auctions, and other art-related events.

If you've not heard from me in a week than one of two things could have happened:

1. Your e-mail got delivered into my junk mail box and I just didn't notice it.
2. I'm on holiday.

Option 1 is the most likely answer. I suggest after a week, try resending the e-mail; and be sure the topic bar is filled in with something clearly relevant to your question e.g 'Art Help' or 'Commission Enquiry.' Otherwise it'll remain unnoticed in my junk mail box as spam.
